Foods Rich In Sugar

What are these foods? These are chocolates, cakes, ice creams, and many more. Are you guilty? Most probably, almost everybody is guilty of this because sweets are irresistible. But did you know that too much sweets can also damage your skin collagen due to the process called glycation? When this happens, you will look older. When your skin collagen is damage, you will not be able to maintain the firmness of your skin. Thus, you skin will sag. Aside from that, sweets can also damage your teeth. If your teeth are incomplete, of course, you will also look old.

Food Rich In Salt

There are also many diseases associated to too much consumption of salty foods. Salty foods are not good for your kidney. When your kidney is not functioning well, it will not filter toxins out from the body. As a result, these toxins may remain in your body, particularly on your skin which will lead to skin ageing. It can also increase your blood pressure. When your blood flow is not properly working, it can also affect your whole body system. Hence, your skin will not be nourished with the right amount of red blood cells.

Caffeinated Foods and Drinks

We can always find caffeine in most drinks and foods such as sodas, coffee, and energy drinks. This can affect your hydration. Sometimes, we replace water with these caffeinated drinks, compromising our hydration. Our skin needs to receive adequate amount of water. It must be well-hydrated. When dehydration occurs, our skin will look dull and fine lines will start to come out.


Alcohol can also cause hydration. Have you observed that when you are drank, the next day the first thing you will look is water? This is because alcohol can also make your skin dehydrated. If this happen, skin ageing occurs. Aside from that, it can also damage your liver, which also help in getting rid or in filtering the toxins and other impurities.

Processed Foods

Nowadays, the world is very modern. Everything comes easy and instant. The invention of processed foods is included in this. Processed foods are those which come in an instant like the canned goods and cup noodles. Your hotdog is also considered as processed. These are not healthy. These can damaged your cells, and eventually your skin. Always remember that these contain lots of chemicals and preservatives which are not healthy for your body, particularly for your skin.

Lastly, these are just some of the foods which you must avoid in order to maintain your young looking skin. You just need to be healthy, and moderation as well as balance to everything is also the key.
